for a little backstory, last august i moved from a tiny town in indiana to big ol’ kansas city, missouri. the mission in moving out here was to start over at kansas city art institute (where i attended last fall, before promptly breaking my own personal record for the least time spent enrolled at a university, ayooo~)!

before that, while job-hunting in june, i stumbled upon a place to live, & everything unfolded in a way that led me to one of those once-in-a-lifetime opportunities: the chance to be the community director of an artists’ bohemian village and help lead a thriving art community … or so i thought.

in the coming weeks, i will be posting about my experience at the art institute (including why i dropped out of school) & my time at the compound. i will be deeply vulnerable on each of these subjects. i want to share my story, & soon.

over the past few weeks, i got my shop up and running, along with other work on various projects & things. the biggest one in the works was supposed to be released on the last day of february, but my living situation went from weird to weirder real fast … and now i need to push back the release date. ( ｡ •̀ ᴖ •́ ｡)

i’m safe (despite the threats from the owner about towing my rv off the property) and i have a place to go. i will be out by march 10th, so that pushes all of my art goals back by a couple of weeks. so, the february issue of the newest addition to my site—trying times—has now become the march issue.

my newspaper will be one big monthly post, covering various topics. ha, wow. ya know, as a child, i thumbed through the pages of the paper to find the funny pages & happily spent time reading through the comics. so, naturally, one of the pages of my newspaper will have a comic featured on it, starring a time-traveling cat named mr. staples.

so, after getting the hell out of dodge, i will be back real, real soon to give you more content & news. many more big things happening here. ദ്ദി(˵ •̀ ᴗ – ˵ ) ✧

one crew member is from my wares page, which is themed like a neopets shop: a choice that was inspired by a childhood obsession of mine. shops in neopets have shopkeepers, hence the introduction of moosie the pompous grapemoose, the oc who ‘runs my shop.’
